Job Description of Support Worker

The role of a Support Worker:
- Provide support with all care, and with any medical needs.
- Encourage the people in our care to learn to adapt to their conditions and develop their confidence.
- Promote independence, choice, and control.
- Work as part of a team of Support Workers to ensure the best care is given to everyone in the home.
- To monitor the physical and mental wellbeing of the people in our care and to report any concerns or changes.
- Take part in regular team meetings and to communicate within the Team.
- To take people to medical appointments and help them access the local and wider community
Hours for work: Full Time – 37.5 hours a week
Pay: £11.03 per hour
What we require from you to be a successful applicant:
- Knowledge or experience of Care and Acquired Brain Injury.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Be fully flexible across the hours and days of work.
- To be able to work within a Team and be a team player.
- To be able to work under pressure and deal with potentially very challenging situations.
