What We Do
Domiciliary Care
At Dortripat Care, we believe that everyone deserves to live with dignity, comfort, and independence—no matter their age or circumstance. As people grow older or face health challenges, remaining in the familiarity of their own home can make a profound difference to their wellbeing. Providing high-quality domiciliary care is not just a service to us; it is a commitment to enhancing lives and supporting families.
Older adults are the foundation of our communities, carrying with them a lifetime of experience, wisdom, and contribution. As they enter later stages of life, it is essential they receive care that is respectful, compassionate, and tailored to their individual needs. Our domiciliary care services are designed to support daily living while preserving independence, choice, and personal identity.
Good domiciliary care plays a vital role in maintaining both physical and mental health. Receiving care at home in a safe, clean, and familiar environment can reduce stress, prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, and promote overall wellbeing. From personal care and medication support to companionship and household assistance, our carers provide reliable support that enables clients to live comfortably and confidently.
Beyond meeting practical needs, domiciliary care fosters independence and reassurance. Having a trusted carer by their side empowers individuals to continue making their own choices, maintain routines, and stay connected to their community. This sense of control and stability is essential to preserving self-esteem and quality of life.
Quality home care also brings peace of mind to families. Knowing that a loved one is supported by trained, compassionate professionals allows families to focus on meaningful time together rather than constant worry. At Dortripat Care, we work closely with families to create personalised care plans that reflect each individual’s preferences, culture, and lifestyle.
Providing exceptional domiciliary care is both a social responsibility and a vital investment in healthier communities. When older adults are supported to live well at home, they remain active participants in society, sharing their stories, wisdom, and presence with future generations.
At Dortripat Care, we are proud to deliver care that goes beyond tasks—we build relationships, offer companionship, and treat every person we support with the respect they deserve.

Support Young People
Give the person your full focus and listen without interrupting
Listen to their words, tone of voice and body language
– all will give clues as to how they are feeling.
Accept them as they are. Respect the person’s feelings, experiences and values although they may be different from yours. Do not judge or criticise because of your own beliefs and attitudes.
Don’t make a moral judgement. Be genuine – show that you accept the person and their values by what you say and do.
Get on their wavelength. Place yourself in the young
person’s shoes and demonstrate to them that you hear and understand what they are saying and feeling.
We believe talking about mental health can help you and those around you to be happier and healthier.
Anyone who works with or cares for a young person has the opportunity to
play an active role in supporting their mental wellbeing.
Giving a young person the chance to open up and have a conversation about their mental health can reassure them that help is available and empower them to access appropriate
support should they need to.

Training and Development
We encourage our young people to find joy again in education and training as they work towards achieving independent and transitioning into full adulthood.
This we do by active engagement with them to have a solid plan and strategies for their future.
Instead, our team provide employability skills sessions to care leavers so they can understand what is expected of them at work.
Learning these new skills enables them to recognise the value they can bring to a job and boosts their self-esteem.
Some lessons that we teach and demonstrates:
